Watch Arcade Fire's one-take live music video, directed by Spike Jonze
THE FIRST-EVER YouTube Music Awards ceremony was held in New York last night, and it was chaotic, completely unrehearsed and a lorra lorra fun.
A live music video for Arcade Fire’s “Afterlife” opened the show – it was directed by Spike Jonze and shot and performed in a single take.
The video stars actress Greta Gerwig, who dances frantically through an apartment and a woodland set before joining the band on stage.
It’s weird but definitely wonderful – look out for Win Butler hovering creepily in the background at around the three minute mark.
